THINGS I LOVE THURSDAYS

Sarah Bladen blog

*I’m a huge fan of an innovative, eco-friendly, brand called Teeki, which create fashion from recycled plastic bottles in California. In the photo above, I’m wearing a pair of their leggings (diamond tribe in lavender) and they’re super comfortable and durable – perfect for a Vinyasa Flow yoga class. Unlike some yoga/dance labels that use mass amounts of water to dye clothes (resulting in polluted water waste and ground contamination) Teeki proudly produces zero waste. Their stylish attire is created using the most sustainable process in the garment industry, plus they ensure the environment is safe for the workers. You can order Teeki’s hip leggings online from The Hot Box Kit.

*I love the zucchini spaghetti dish at BeStro, the raw, vegan eatery (in Galeries Lafayette in Dubai). And the chocolate fondant dessert is sublime. Raw food is all the rage these days and it’s not surprising when you look at some of the gorgeously tempting recipes – I recently met Karen, the Secret Squirrel blogging sensation and right now I’m having cravings for her delicious cheesecake!

*The British author and journalist Graham Hancock is a pioneer of consciousness and he challenges the status quo in an incredibly convincing manner. If you haven’t yet watched his Ted Talk aptly titled, The War on Consciousness (which was banned from their youtube channel due to its controversial nature) then it’s a must-see. Graham delves into the world of healing, visionary plants and exposes ways in which our current modern world is broken and dramatically limits us from evolving. Watch it and decide for yourself.

*My beautiful yogi friend Elouise Lakshya, offers free community yoga classes in Safa Park every Saturday at 6pm. Come while the weather is still cool enough for some al fresco asanas! Just bring your own mat, some good energy and enjoy the sunset while you rise up in your yoga pose. For more information click here. After the yoga class on Saturday 17th May, there’s a free screening of the award-winning Moroccan drama, Ali Zaoua, Prince of the Streets that tells the gripping story of several homeless boys living in Casablanca. It’s the last free screening of the season, organized by Loco’Motion. Hope to see you there!

Peace and love,

Sarah signature
