HOW CAN YOU GAIN VIBRANT HEALTH & HAPPINESS?
I’m a freelance writer, intuitive energy healer, yoga & meditation teacher, mindfulness coach and tantric practitioner. Five years ago, I was the editor of a celebrity magazine – to the outside world, I was living the dream. While there were fun times, my happiness levels were resting upon the external, so there were fleeting highs and miserable lows. And then I experienced a wake-up call. My relationship and job abruptly ended and I lost my dad to cancer, all within the same month.
This heartache was the ideal opportunity to heal and blossom. As the Zen proverb goes, ‘No mud, no lotus!’ So I embarked on an intense soul-searching journey which led me to visit the Dalai Lama in the Himalayas to doing dynamic meditation at the Osho International Resort in India. I also studed the Vedas at The Vedanta Academy tried and tested almost every alternative therapy under the sun from NLP to acupuncture, Reiki to Hypnotherapy. I also interviewed holistic wellness experts and motivational gurus from around the world and immersed myself in different forms of yoga and meditation.
They say the teacher appears when the student is ready. And a chance encounter with an enlightened Himalayan Yogi (one of the few in the world empowered to awaken the kundalini via sacred transmissions) took me back to India, where I spent a challenging yet life-transforming year in an ashram, practising daily kriyas, kundalini meditation and undergoing powerful healing sessions, learning how to let go of deep-seated fears and limiting belief patterns, so as to enhance spiritual awareness. This is where I also learnt to become a conduit for energy healing.
This inspired me to learn more about how our body works and I completed training in Indian Head Massage and Reflexology – both qualifications are recognised by the International Institute for Complementary Therapists. I also took a module on Transpersonal Psychotherapy & Counselling with the Alef Trust.
To deepen my spiritual practice, I have trained with London’s leading Zen Master, Daizan Skinner Roshi, to become a Zen Meditation & Mindfulness Coach and a Zen Yoga teacher.
I’m also a certified Chakradance facilitator as conscious dance as another path towards liberation.
I love teaching one to one sessions and am particularly passionate about guiding clients to overcome depression, heartbreak and grief. I also love taking mindfulness and wellbeing into schools and the corporate world, working with children and professionals to banish stress and enhance productivity and happiness levels.
